Solid 14K Gold

14K gold is durable enough for everyday wear, but as a precious metal, it benefits from gentle attention. Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. Apply perfume, hairspray, and lotions before putting on your pieces — chemicals can dull the surface over time. After each wear, wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove natural oils and restore luster.

Gold Plated Sterling Silver

Our gold-plated pieces are crafted in 925 sterling silver and finished with a substantial 1-micron layer of 24K gold for a rich, luminous finish designed to last with proper care.

Remove before contact with water, moisture, perfumes, lotions, or other chemicals. After each wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove natural oils and residue.

When not in use, store your jewelry in its House of Sól airtight pouch. Limiting exposure to air helps minimize the natural oxidation of sterling silver and preserve the gold finish for longer.

Avoid abrasive materials, jewelry dips, and polishing compounds, as these can wear away the gold surface.

The HoS Lock™

The Lock mechanism is precision-engineered for daily use. Inside each Lock arm, there are small ridges, these are what keep the mechanism securely fastened.

To protect these ridges, always press the button when both opening and closing the Lock. Pressing the button retracts the internal tongue, allowing the arm to slide in and out smoothly without friction against the ridges. If the Lock is closed without pressing the button, the arm forces past the ridges with each use, gradually wearing them down. Over time, this can cause the Lock to lose its hold. A simple habit,press the button every time, preserves the mechanism for a lifetime.

Pearl Care

Pearls are organic gems — alive in ways that other stones are not. Your skin's natural oils keep pearls luminous, so wear them often. Always put pearls on last, after perfume, makeup, and hairspray. After each wear, wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Keep pearls away from the Lock mechanism — direct contact between pearl and metal can scratch the pearl's and metal's surface. Store pearls separately in their original kutnu silk pouch that we send.

Pearl Restringing

For knotless pearl models, we recommend annual restringing to maintain the integrity of the silk thread. The natural texture of genuine pearls creates subtle friction on the cord over time — this is normal and inherent to real pearls. We offer complimentary restringing for all House of Sól pearl pieces. Knotted pearl models do not require this service, as the knots between each pearl prevent this type of wear.

Storage

Store each piece in its original kutnu silk pouch or a soft-lined jewelry box. Keep necklaces and Locks stored separately to prevent scratching. Store vermeil pieces in airtight pouches to minimize exposure to air and moisture.
