Craftsmanship
The Workshop
In Istanbul's Grand Bazaar — a 560-year-old labyrinth of trade and tradition — our master artisans work in studios passed down through generations.
These are goldsmiths carrying forward a living tradition of Ottoman craftsmanship that has endured for centuries.
The Journey
Every House of Sól piece begins as a design in our New York studio. From there, the journey spans three continents.
Gemstones are sourced and cut through our partners in South America and Asia Pacific — selected for quality, color, and character. Shells and corals are carefully chosen, and where the design calls for it, stones are hand-enameled.
Then everything travels to Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, where precious metals are melted, shaped, soldered, and polished by hand. Each piece passes through the hands of dozens of artisans — from metalwork to stone setting to final inspection. The HoS Lock™ alone requires 13 individual steps, each performed with the kind of precision that only human hands can deliver.
A piece of jewelry that spans three continents — handcrafted at every stage — before it reaches you.
The Timeline
Each piece takes two to three weeks to craft — tailored to the client's preferred length and specifications. This is not mass production. This is jewelry made the way it was always meant to be made: slowly, intentionally, and for one person at a time.
The Materials
Solid 14K gold and gold vermeil — precious materials chosen for their warmth, durability, and heirloom quality. Genuine cultured pearls — freshwater and baroque, each unique. And the HoS Lock™ — a signature sculptural mechanism, engineered to be worn, clicked, and transformed daily.
