Every designer has a signature. A through-line. The thing that, once you see it, you can’t unsee.

Mine: no two earrings in the House of Sól collection are ever the same. Making a face symmetrical feels incredibly boring to me. Symmetry, honestly, is one of humanity’s most overrated obsessions. When you look at nature — really look — there’s no such thing as symmetry. Including our own faces.

Which brings me to Vizcaya — one of the most loved and most versatile designs we’ve ever created under this creative direction. Let me tell you the story.

Those of you who’ve been around for a while know: I’m not a huge Miami person. (I said what I said.) But Vizcaya alone? Worth the trip. Worth. The. Trip.

If you’re going, set aside a full day. The Coral Gables neighborhood surrounding it is wonderful, and because the estate is spread across this massive, almost absurdly beautiful property, Vizcaya truly demands your whole afternoon. Maybe your whole soul, too.
